G S Haydon & Son has FSC chain of custody certification. This enables us to provide fully certified timber products that are from well-managed sources. By choosing FSC certified products you can ensure that there are long term timber supplies for the future while protecting the environment and the lives of forest-dependent peoples.
Not all of our products are FSC certified and you must request FSC to guarentee you receive this. Our chain of custody is SA-00COC-1654-CD. To enable you to have an FSC certified timber product you may have to be open to substituting your preferred timber to another substitute. The timber species are readily available FSC pure are European Oak and most European hardwoods and Sapele. European Redwood (softwood joinery) is available as FSC mixed. Greenpeace have recently released a report into the benefits of using FSC certified timbers for joinery products rather than using PVC-u.
