Every structure is made to measure in our South Molton workshop, allowing the proportions, timber, windows, doors and glazing to be developed specifically for the building.

From traditional Oak conservatories to painted Accoya and hardwood designs, each project is treated as a complete piece of architectural joinery rather than a standard conservatory system.

Designed Around the Property

The shape and proportions of a conservatory have a major influence on whether it sits naturally with the existing building.

Roof pitch, window proportions, door positions, glazing bars, eaves details and the relationship with existing windows and masonry all need to be considered together.

Because we manufacture the complete timber structure ourselves, these details can be adjusted to suit the property rather than being dictated by predetermined panel sizes.

We can work from architectural drawings or develop the joinery specification around an existing property and proposed opening.

Oak, Accoya and Hardwood Conservatories

The choice of timber depends on the appearance, finish and exposure of the conservatory.

Oak works particularly well where the natural grain and character of the timber are intended to remain visible.

Accoya is an excellent option for painted conservatories because of its dimensional stability and resistance to decay, both valuable characteristics in a structure containing large areas of glazing and external joinery.

Durable hardwoods can also be used depending on the design and required finish.

The best material is not necessarily the same for every project, so we will discuss the advantages of the available options before the specification is agreed.

Windows, Doors and Glazing

A conservatory brings together several areas of joinery expertise.

Opening and fixed windows can be designed as part of the structure, alongside entrance doors, French doors or larger glazed openings depending on how the conservatory connects with the garden.

Our experience manufacturing bespoke timber windows and made-to-measure timber doors allows these elements to be designed as part of one coordinated project.

Glazing specifications can be selected around appearance, thermal performance and the requirements of the individual building.

Made and Assembled in Our Workshop

One of the main advantages of our South Molton workshop is that much of the conservatory can be manufactured and assembled before it reaches the property.

Large sections and individual components can be checked together in controlled workshop conditions, helping resolve the joinery before installation begins on site.

Once complete, the structure is dismantled as required for transport and reassembled at the property.

This can substantially reduce the amount of complex joinery work that needs to take place outdoors.

Existing Timber Conservatories

Older timber conservatories do not always need complete replacement.

Localised decay, worn windows, damaged doors or individual areas of deteriorated joinery may sometimes be capable of repair.

Our timber joinery repair and refurbishment service can be used to assess whether sensible repairs are possible before replacing an existing structure unnecessarily.

Where a conservatory has reached the end of its practical life, we can also discuss a new bespoke timber design.
